Introduction
===================
This volume contains the data products of the ROSETTA MICRO-IMAGING DUST
ANALYSIS SYSTEM (MIDAS) instrument. It contains Comet Escort Phase 3
covering the time range from 2015-06-30T23:25:00 to 2015-10-20T23:25:00.
New data will be added on subsequent data sets as they become available.
This volume also contains documentation describing the MIDAS instrument.
Supporting documents and label files for the MIDAS data products conform
to the Planetary Data System (PDS) Standards Version 3.6.
Users of these data are encouraged to acknowledge both the PDS and the
principal investigators of the instruments whose data are used in analysis
in all publications.
Volume Format
===================
This volume has been formatted according to the ISO-9660 level 2
Interchange Standard.
This volume does not contain any Extended Attribute Records (XAR). Thus,
some VAX/VMS users may have problems accessing files on this volume.
File Formats
===================
All document files and detached label files are stream format files,
with a carriage return (ASCII 13) and a line feed character (ASCII 10)
at the end of the record. This allows the files to be read by the MacOS,
DOS, Unix, and VMS operating systems. All tabular files are also described
by PDS labels, either embedded at the beginning of the file or detached.
If detached, the PDS label file has the same name as the data file it
describes, with the extension .LBL; for example, the file HK1_xxx.TAB is
accompanied by the detached label file HK1_xxx.LBL in the same directory.
Volume content
===================
The files on this volume are organized in one top-level directory with
several subdirectories. The following table shows the structure and
content of these directories. In the table, directory names are enclosed
in square brackets ([]), upper-case letters indicate an actual directory
or file name, and lower-case letters indicate the general form of a set
of directory or file names. See the *INFO.TXT files in each directory for
specific information on the files in the directory.
