The European Space Agency
Mars Express: PFS

The Martian atmosphere consists mainly of carbon dioxide and nitrogen with a very small proportion of water vapour and ozone. The PFS (Planetary Fourier Spectrometer) will measure the global atmospheric distribution of water vapour and other minor constituents with greater accuracy than previous missions. The PFS Principal Investigator is Dr. Marco Giuranna, Istituto di Astrofisica e Planetologia Spaziali, Rome, Italy.

The primary source for PFS data is the ESA Planetary Science Archive.

Through a cooperative agreement between ESA and NASA, the PDS Geosciences Node is hosting a copy of the PFS data archive.

February 12, 2016. PFS Extended Mission 4 data through 31 Dec 2014 is now online.

November 6, 2013. PFS Extended Mission 3 data through 31 Dec 2012 is now online.

September 27, 2011. PFS Extended Mission 3 data through 31 Dec 2010 is now online.
