Mars Science Laboratory (MSL)

December 5, 2016. MSL Release 13 includes new raw and derived data from sols 1294 - 1417.

December 7, 2016. SAM EDR safed data for sols 1294 - 1417 have been posted.

The Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) rover, Curiosity, landed on Mars and began operations on August 6, 2012. On June 25, 2014, the rover marked one Mars year (687 Earth days) of operations on the surface.

Science data from Curiosity's suite of instruments is released by PDS three times a year.  See the complete release schedule below.

August 1, 2014. MSL Release 6 includes new raw and derived data from sols 450-583, and revisions to some previously released data.

April 21, 2014. Products from sols 360-449 have been added to the safed SAM EDR data set.

March 17, 2014. MSL Release 5 includes new raw and derived data from sols 360-449, along with revisions to some previously released data.

January 17, 2014. Products from sols 270 through 359 have been added to the safed SAM EDR data set.

January 9, 2014. The SAM EDR Software Interface Specification document has been cleared by JPL Export Control and added to the safed data set.

December 13, 2013. MSL Release 4 includes new raw and derived data acquired on sols 270 through 359, along with revised versions of some previously released data.

October 23, 2013. The SAM EDR safed data set is now available.

August 30, 2013. MSL raw and derived data from sols 180-269 are released, along with revisions to some previously released data. The DAN calibration report and the SAM RDR SIS are now available.

June 26, 2013. The APXS RDR peer review is now closed. The APXS RDR SIS has been slightly revised.

June 21, 2013. The CheMin RDR SIS has been cleared for public release.
